Did you know that the sound quality of the 45 RPM Single is higher than the 33 RPM LP??? It is! 33s run at a lower speed, so more vinyl per second is picked up by your stylus and cartridge, resulting in better sound. The record companies were not dummies, they sold the 45 Singles in order to get us to go out later and get the whole album. The 33s play at a lower speed because if they were playing at 45 RPMs you might only get 18 minutes per side.

About Phono Jack:

Jack has been fascinated with consumer electronics his whole life. In 1979 he began working at a small family-run electronics chain store in Doraville, Georgia. In consumer electronics and music world, Doraville may be best known as home of Studio One and the Atlanta Rhythm Section who had a hit recording Doraville. 

Today, Doraville is the home of musicians who play popular and classical music (lots of "early music" and baroque music is performed in Doraville, today) and is a place where music and all of the arts are strongly supported. Jack moved to Doraville in 1981 and has been buying and selling cool electronics, many of which have become vintage items, to the Doraville community and all of North Georgia.
