That's why Heritage Fly Hooks have been perfected with our sharpest, slimmest point yet, ALPHAPOINT , using the same Opti-Angle sharping as ULTRAPOINT® but with improved penetration and sharpness. We've also introduced our TitanX and Titan Steel finishes to the fly tying world. The sleek, gun-metal look, truly, consolidates the hardware with the materials of the fly. Both coatings are over 50% more rust-resistant than previous coatings used on Mustad fly hooks. The differences between the finishes lie in the extra matte look of TitanX and slight luster found on Titan Steel finished hooks. Out with old, in with the new. With the introduction of ALPHAPOINT and new hook coatings , its only natural that our previous range, Signature Fly Series, is phased out. We've taken the proven hook styles of old and applied these technologies as well as welcomed a number of new styles and barbless alternatives

To reduce Mustad's impact on the waters, our latest fly hook range has launched in bio-based plastic packaging. Rather than plastic bags, we've chosen a durable, reusable box made of Polylatic acid (PLA) plastics, which is 100% biodegradable and compostable under certain conditions. PLA is extracted from natural, renewable resources like corn, potatoes, and beets. Not only is it made from sustainable materials, but also uses significantly less energy to produce while generating much fewer greenhouse gases. Fly tiers will welcome the reusability of our new, robust fly hook boxes. Heritage Fly Hooks are packed for easy access and stack well on fly tying workbenches. Sort packs by type with the improved color-coding and specification visible where it's needed most.
