This server takes advantage of Intel?s
Xeon scalable processors allowing you to choose from the 1st generation of these
processors which includes, Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum. This system can
have up to 2 of these processors. You can have a total of 16 DDR4 memory
modules when you have a two-processor configuration. If all of these are filled
with load reduced (LRDIMM) memory you can have a maximum of 1TB of memory.
Dell?s R540 only has one chassis type which is the 12x 3.5?.
This server can take SAS / SATA HDDs and SSDs.
This server can support up to 5 PCIe slots depending on how
many processors are installed and what riser has been installed. There are
dedicated slots for a Network Daughter Card and one slot for a PERC RAID
controller. If you want the rear storage cage in this server you will lose a
PCIe slot, meaning there will only be 4 active slots.

Returns
Returns are accepted within 30 days of the delivery date, provided that the item is unused, in its original packaging and in the same condition as when it was shipped. The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs, unless the item was received damaged or defective. If the item was damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately to arrange for a replacement or refund. Refunds will be issued within 3-5 business days of receiving the returned item, provided that it meets the above criteria. We reserve the right to refuse any returns that do not meet our criteria or that are returned without a return authorization number.
