About Absinthe Wormwood  (Artemisia Absinthium):
What do Edgar Degas, Vincent van Gogh and Pablo Picasso all have in common aside from their incredible painting abilities? These three artists all shared a love of absinthe, a botanical spirit made from wormwood, anise and fennel.
Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is an herb that’s prized for its distinctive aroma, herbaceous flavor, and purported health benefits. The best known species of wormwood is Artemisia absinthium, or grande wormwood, the only type that you can use in the distillation process for something to be considered authentic absinthe.
This potent herb has a long history of use stretching back into Ancient Greece and the time of Hippocrates. It was most commonly used for the expulsion of worms – hence the name Wormwood, although Hippocrates prescribed it for menstrual pains, jaundice, anaemia and rheumatism.
Nonetheless, the health benefits of wormwood remain irrefutable. Wormwood possesses several medicinal compounds, which include anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties.

How to use/consume Dried Absinthe Wormwood Herb?
Decotion: 
1 teaspoon of the herb is poured with 200 ml. boiling water, leave for two hours and strain. The decoction is drunk in 100 ml before meals, noon and evening.
Tea/Infusion: 
Steep a half teaspoon to one teaspoon of dried wormwood in one cup of boiling water for five to 15 minutes. 
It’s important that you use no more than one teaspoon of the leaves as they’re very strong and bitter.
Longer steep time will make for a stronger wormwood tea, but also a more bitter tea.

NOTE:
The plant is poisonous if overdosed and used for long periods of time and has a bitter taste. Caution with its use, prolonged use is not recommended.
Do NOT use internally during pregnancy and lactation!
Do NOT use in children and people suffering from inflammation of the kidneys and ulcers, as it has a strong irritant effect! 
Admission should be done only by your health provider!

Recommended daily dosage:
Not more than 2-3 cups tea per day. Do NOT use continously longer than 1-2 months! Do NOT overdose!
