Stratton Single speed Fixie Fully Restored Vintage Road Bike Reynolds 531.

Fully restored by myself, no expense spared. Frame and forks built (I believe) around 1983 by George Stratton Cycles of Wandsworth London. It was in a sorry state when acquired by me, but it was solid, no dents, no cracks, straight, see the final two photos. Reynolds 531 tubing, as evidenced by the original decals.

I undertook the restoration as a project and it is unridden (except for test rides around the block) ready for the new owner.

Frame and forks were treated and powder coated by West Taunton Powder coating, they did a terrific job.

I rebuilt the original wheels myself with DT Swiss Competition stainless 14g spokes and the original Maillard hubs have new bearings and grease. Lots of life left in the original Rigida 27" rims. Brand new Panaracer Pasela tan wall 25mm tyres and tubes. The bike is setup as single speed with a chrome Dicta single speed freewheel but the hub is a flip flop so it also has a fixed gear on the other side which the new user could use too. Alternatively it could easily be converted back to a geared bike with the correct components, no permanent modifications were made to the frame.

The bike is now beautiful, like new and very cool with a vintage vibe. Totally unique, it will turn heads.

-Very cool vintage style cable outers (new)

-ITM Italy bars, stem, and seat post (used but correct vintage)

-Rolls San Marco saddle (used)

-Reproduction decals, not quite the same as original but close.

-Original wheels Rigida 27" rims and Maillard hubs fully refurbished and hand built with DT Swiss stainless spokes

-Panaracer Pasela tan wall tyres and tubes (new)
