Overview

The SkyWatcher Field Flattener for the Evolux series is the perfect accessory for your Evolux Refractors OTA telescopes. It flattens and corrects the field removing the field curvature created by the refractors telescope providing sharper images and reducing optical distortions. It also reduces the focal length of the telescope for brighter and wider images. It fits the Evolux model 82ED, sold separately.

Evolux Series

The Evolux telescopes series are refractors with optical tube assembly (OTA) which offer great performance, using a lens to gather and focus light. These refractor telescopes are rugged, thus after the initial alignment, their optical system is more resistant to misalignment than the reflector telescopes.

Evolux lenses rarely need cleaning because the glass surface inside the tube is sealed from the atmosphere, and air currents and effects due to changing temperatures are eliminated, offering sharper and steadier images when compared to a reflector telescope of the same size.
