Cloisonne enamel ware is produced by applying a glassy glaze to the surface of metal and baking it, and is characterized by its gorgeous and elegant designs. In the late Edo period (1603-1868), Tsunekichi Kaji taught himself the art of cloisonne enamel ware using a foreign-made cloisonne dish as a clue, and this is said to be the beginning of modern cloisonne enamel ware. In the Meiji period (1868-1912), the fascination of cloisonne enamel ware spread overseas, and the industry flourished. "In the Meiji period (1868-1912), the appeal of cloisonne enamel ware spread overseas, and it flourished as a major industry. Katoshippo Works is one of the mainstream Japanese cloisonne enamel ware, "Owari Cloisonne", which is made based on this traditional technique and polishing technology.

In cloisonne enamel, the base is formed with metal, but for a soul petit pot like MATOU, the processing precision is required to almost seal the inside. Therefore, we manufacture the body of the pot in Tsubame City, a world-famous metal processing city.

The lid is tightened firmly by the threading process using Tsubame City's sophisticated technology.
The bottom is covered with felt to prevent damage to the place where it is placed.
In response to the voices of customers who are reluctant to wrap the remains in paper or place them directly in the box, we have prepared a special bag for the remains.
