Pair of BETSON figural horn vases with attached cherubs and flowers

  • vases are mirror images so they may be displayed facing each other or away from each other
  • vases were made in Japan during the 1950s
  • hand painted, so there are minor paint imperfections
  • horn measures 5 3/4" high, base 4 3/4" across, feet 2 1/4" apart
  • both vases are stamped in red on the bottom "hand painted Betson"
  • vases are in good vintage condition
  • one vase is missing a rose
  • both fallen cherubs are missing their wings, clean break, small opening on the back of each where the wings may have been attached
  • luckily this is not readily noticeable from the front and does not detract from the way this charming pair displays
    • as a side note, while researching this piece, I noticed that Betson's cherubs did not always have wings

Thanks for looking.  Hard to find a pair as nice as these are!
