Its obverse side features the largest mosque in Kuwait, the Great State Mosque, an optically variable ink patch, and the flag of Kuwait. Its obverse side features the Greek ruins and a close-up of an Ionic column in Failaka Island. The notes security features include a 3-mm wide color-changing StarBright windowed security thread with demetalized CBK 1, a watermark of a falcon head, an electrotype watermark of 1 in Arabic numeral, and Cornerstones. The note represents Kuwaits history and Islam.
