Description: Large copper Panorama view of Lutzen fought between Swedish troops under the command of Gustav II Adolf, and Habsburg units led by Albrecht Wallenstein.
The armies meet at the Battle of Lützen during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) on November 16, 1632.
Gustave Adolphe was killed during the clash, but the Swedes won under the orders of Bernard de Saxe-Weimar.
It was fought by the Swedes to help their North German allies against the forces of the Holy Roman emperor Ferdinand II.
