Description: Large engraved map of Lorraine France, the antique map shows many historical places centerend around Nancy and is copperplate engraved with a nice hand coloring.
The old rococo titel cartouche is surrounded with hunting scenes and the mile scale cartouche with a draped cloth.
This is the 1st edition of 1692 map La Lorraine by Jaillot, the 1695 edition published by Pierre Mortier is a reprint with small differences among which the scale cartouche.
Map maker: Alexis Hubert Jaillot was a French cartographer mapmaker and publisher.
Jaillot, published alone or in combination with Sanson or other engravers.

Condition: The map as a whole is in good condition with beautiful colors. The edges and center fold have some non-disturbing restorations, and the map has a small spot.
