Some pencil inscriptions from a previous owner, including a personal note on the first page. Pages have age-related toning and foxing. Hinges are in good condition and pages have good support throughout. Illustrations have some slight toning, but are otherwise in good condition. Edges of pages have wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing.

An interesting, illustrated detail history of fishing from its earliest periods. These date back to the ancient times, and Radcliffe integrates not only written accounts from these times from different regions, but also the artwork of these eras that depict the cultural relevance of fishing. An interesting history not only for those interested in sports and fishing history, but also for anyone interested in ancient and Classical history.
