Thank you for your interest in the Anri wood carved chess sets. I completely understand if someone has another perspective on the pricing, but let me share some insights that might clarify why these sets are valued as they are.

Anri chess sets, especially the wood carved ones, have indeed been underrated for quite some time. However, with Anri having closed its doors permanently after more than a century in business, these masterpieces will never be produced again. This fact alone elevates their value significantly. The carved sets, in particular, are unique works of art, each piece telling its own story through meticulous craftsmanship.

It's important to note that during Anri's operational days, their high-end products like the gilded Anri Montsalvat chess sets were sold for over US$ 5,000.00 but the last new ones available on the market i saw priced at US$ 9,000.00. This sets a precedent for the value of these items, considering their rarity and the fact that they're no longer in production. As a result, the sets I currently own are priced at a premium, reflecting their status as collector's items. Their rarity and value are only going to increase as time goes on.

These chess sets are more than just games; they are pieces of history and art. Their value is not just in their material but in the legacy and craftsmanship they represent. I hope this gives you a better understanding of their worth and why I've priced them as such.

Thank you for your understanding and interest. I'm here if you have any more questions or if there's anything else you'd like to know.

It's a conversation starter, a showpiece, and a source of pride for any collector or lover of fine things.
