Estampe rehaussé titré "Générosité de sa Majesté l'Empereur et roi"; représentant l'Empereur Napoléon assistant une veuve égyptienne et son fils.
Un petit paragraphe en contre-bas explique la scène:
"Étant à cheval pour se rendre à Wirtemberg à Posdam, Sa Majesté surprise par un orage mit pied à terre dans la maison du Grand-Veneur de Saxe; où à son grand étonnement elle entendit une jolie femme l’appeler par son nom; c'était une Égyptienne, veuve d'un officier français de l'Armée d’Égypte, et qui se trouvant en Saxe depuis trois mois, demeurait chez le grand Veneur qui l'avait accueillie et honorablement traitée. L'Empereur lui a fait une pension de 1200 francs, et s'est chargé de placer son enfant. C'est la première fois dit sa Majesté que je mets pied-à-terre pour un orage; j'avais le pressentiment qu'une bonne action m'attendait là.
L’œuvre se trouve dans un cadre vitré en bois.

Raised print titled "Generosity of his Majesty the Emperor and King"; representing the Emperor Napoleon assisting an Egyptian widow and her son.
A small paragraph below explains the scene:
"Being on horseback on his way to Wirtemberg in Posdam, His Majesty surprised by a storm dismounted in the house of the Grand Veneur of Saxony; where to his great astonishment he heard a pretty woman call him by name; it was an Egyptian woman, widow of a French officer of the Egyptian Army, and who being in Saxony for three months, was staying at the house of the Grand Veneur, who had welcomed and honorably treated her. The Emperor gave her a pension of 1200 francs, and took care of placing her child. It is the first time, says his Majesty, that I put my foot down for a storm; I had the presentiment that a good deed was waiting for me there.
The work is in a glazed wooden frame.
