Collage type artwork comprised of printed art on paper glued to paperboard/posterboard.  Presumed to be from the 1970s or early 80s.

Doug Benson's art loosely fits within the 1970's Funk Art style, while not the typical medium for such works, the topics (ironic postcard themed art, politically themed shots at the "establishment" and Americana, and crude vulgarity) are in line.  Mocking the standard linen postcard artworks, Benson inserts absurd objects upon mundane backgrounds, such as giant shirts floating over the Delaware River Bridge, or a Hustler-esque nude blocking a sailboat, captioned "Moonlight Sail Over the Silvery Sea".  Each piece has a sticker signed "Doug Benson" affixed to the backside of the paperboard.
