Framed porcelain plaque with two children sharing a book. The 19th century artist  has replicated the famous painting created by the 18th century German artist, Christian Vogel (1759-1816).The two children pictured are Vogel's sons, Carl Christian and Friedrich Vogel.  Seated, the boys are sharing a picture book.  The porcelain plaque is in the 3.25 x 2.625 inch oval, matted in a fine brass frame.
