A scarce work by German doctor Friedrich Wilhelm von Hoven (1759-1838), written during his last year as a medical student in Stuttgart. A close friend of Friedrich Schiller, Hoven served as a physician, professor, and hospital administrator well into the 1830s. A wonderful piece of German medical history.
