What we have learned from the experience:

*EU*

There are no customs duties or charges for EU countries.

When shipping to the non-EU countries, all goods must go through Customs to be cleared. The value of goods that may be imported free of duty and tax, also called the de minimis:

*USA*

De minimis threshold is $800.

It applies to a single product shipped across the border on a single day.

*Australia*

There is no de minimis threshold. However, eBay will calculate, collect, and remit GST service tax.

*Switzerland*

De minimis threshold is CHF 65 ( shipping included ).

Upon exceeding this amount, you will be charged for VAT:

- at the VAT rate of 7,7 % for shipments up-to CHF 200 in value

- at a VAT rate of 2.5% for shipments exceeding the CHF 200 value

Cost of the customs declaration made by DHL will be CHF 22,

*Canada*

Canada’s de minimis threshold is $20 CAD

★ eBay's collection of US State tax & Australian GST:
