Item Description:
Inspired from the comic pages of the Marvel Universe, we present the Head of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury Comiquette, Exclusive Edition. Another amazing Statue from Sideshow's Marvel Universe of Iconic Characters. Intricately detailed by the following covert artisans of the The Sideshow Collectibles Design and Development Team.
The Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. feature replaced then running Human Torch serial that ran alongside Dr Strange in "Strange Tales", starting with issue #135. Thought Dr Strange was a commercial and critical hit for Marvel, Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD was given priority and the cover of the anthology book for the first year of the title's serialized run. The1968 series was written and drawn by Jim Steranko six issues before the title was passed on to several other writers and artists. The first issue in the series was titled "Who is Scorpio". It ran for 18 issues before ending in 1971.
The Nick Fury Comiquette was hand produced in high quality polystone, then hand painted and finished to exacting standards which Sideshow is famous for. The Statue's impressive dimensions are 16"H X 10"W X 16"D and weighs approximately 18 lbs. double boxed.
Nick Fury is portrayed in his classic black and white costume with black body suit, white gloves, white boots, white utility belt with pouches, twin 'Luger' style pistols, alternate switch-out right hand with a magnum revolver, signature left eye patch and two tone hair define the Slick Leader of the Pack. He stands atop a simple round, black and white eagle 'SHIELD', display base.
*The Exclusive Edition features a Fine art print, additional switch-out portrait with cigar, and additional switch-out hand holding BFG weapon for a customizable display.
