Nice soft Corriedale wool roving. Available by the ounce or by the pound for all you spinning, weaving or felting needs. Hand sheared from our own flock of sheep each spring. All natural, undyed. We have four nice colors, white, dark chocolate, swirled/marbled, and heather (brownish). Easy to spin with great crimp making it easy to handle.
We currently have a nice amount of our four beautiful colors: White, Dark Chocolate, Swirled (we mixed our dark chocolate and our white) and our Nice Heather brownish colored wool roving hand-sheared from our own flock of Corriedale sheep. Corriedale is known for soft wool for hand spinners and weavers, and works exceptionally well for felting projects. Corriedale is great to spin for the beginners as the staple length makes it easy. The experienced spinners love it as well because it is such a fabulous fiber. Corriedale wool is a fine, well-crimped wool with a staple length of approximately 2 1/2 to 4 inches, elastic and ideally used in projects where fiber memory is more important.
This roving is un-dyed all natural colored. The white wool roving is unique enough to dye your own desired color, using natural dyes such as mustard seeds, onionskins, or even Kool-Aid for the "tye-dye effect" that kids love. You can be so creative with it; your imagination is the limit!
We can sell by the by the pound, but to ensure lot consistency and project completion, please order enough at one time. Please be aware that every effort to capture the colors accurately, some monitors can show the color differently.
Also possibly small tiny pieces of debris in roving that was too small to be picked up by roving machines. We send it out to a professional processor Frankenmuth Woolen Mill
We are also offering professionally sheared Corriedale raw wool fleeces, skirted but some vegetable matter within it. Never had any complaints!! Raw wool allows you to spin or wash or dye it to what your needs are.
