4 page photo illustrated article from a scarce 1899 Victorian periodical, the article is entitled "Lady Fencers How Ladies can be graceful and Athletic" by Myra Dane and Mary Howarth The article is full of interesting information on the authors with several photographic illustrations of them demonstrating their skill with the foil. Article also mentions Miss Edna Mary Stacey of Clifton, Miss Janette Steer, Miss Pinero, Lady Harris, Miss Treves and Misses Innes-Kerr who are both pupils at a Salle D'armes CONDITION Please note these are genuine actual pages extracted from a rare disbound Victorian publication, there are no covers and there may be extracts from other articles at the start or end. Images show the article whilst in its still bound state, the article will be posted as loose pages Some pages may be showing signs of foxing / browning due to the age of the paper If you are interested in more than one item I will always combine postage where this is possible so long as purchases are in one transaction. If you are forced by ebay to pay multiple postages for your purchases I will refund the overpayment
