Contains issues No. I through XXV of Pierce Egan's Book of Sports. Illustrated with 26 beautiful engravings (vignettes), each protected with tissue guard. Includes "Index to Vol I." 414 pages.

CONDITION: Exterior rubbed, chipped and scratched; leather corners worn to bare board; tail of spine bumped & torn. Front and rear inner hinges cracked. Text block intact. Pp. 65 & 379 have chipped upper corner; pp. 118, 194 & 282 have light penciled marks; p. 368 food stain(?); rest of pages undamaged. Two of 26 tissue guards gouged or stained; rest are undamaged. Occasional light foxing and water stains. Three previous owners plus bookseller's sticker (see front pastedown and first blank page on photos).
