Sterling Silver Drinking Compendium - Antique Edwardian

Description

This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver drinking compendium consists of a water jug, a large quart mug* and a half-pint mug.

Each piece of this impressive set has a plain tapering cylindrical form.

The body of each piece is plain and unembellished.

The antique water jug retains the original domed hinged cover surmounted with an impressive sterling silver ball finial.

Each component of this compendium is fitted with a plain, rounded C shaped handle.

* Imperial quart = 2 pints/1.14 litres

Condition

This antique sterling silver drinking set is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional condition.

The set has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover of the jug are all very clear.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this example of Edwardian silverware.
