Antique Primitive Wood Barrel Keg Cask Pail Wagon Canteen 19th C White Coopery.

Large 13x12x7” Wooden Canteen Barrel. Canteen comes with attached note which describes the Barrel as an example of “White Coopery”. These canteens were often used by farm and orchard workers as a portable water source. The canteen was suspended under a wagon to keep it shaded & cool. Also useful in taking home portions of harvested liquids.

This canteen is in excellent condition for it’s age. Difficult to say whether it was restored or simply well preserved.
