Two photo illustarted articles from a very rare 1904 Edwardian sports periodical, the first article is 12 pages and is entitled "The Spurs in Mufti” an Inside article concerning the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club players and Officials from 1904 by C E Hughes.

”Everyone knows all about the “Spurs” in uniform. Who has not taken the turning from the Tottenham High Road, and gone down the Avenue of pay boxes ……..what of the men before they enter the dressing rooms – every day citizens in plain clothes?

  • Full page of players “just come off the cinder path”
  • Sam Mountford the man who oils the machine

  • The second article is entitled "Among the High Alps" 2 pages by Frank Ormston Smith detailing the trials and tribulations of an alps climb

Whilst the images show the article in its still bound state, the article will be sent as loose pages.Some pages may be showing signs of foxing / browning due to the age of the paper
