A history of Macedonian statehood. It pays special attention to: the struggle to create a Macedonian state during the Great Eastern Crisis period, i.e. the period of the Razlovci insurrection and the Kresna uprising, the emergence of the organised Macedonian revolutionary movement, the struggle for Macedonia's autonomy and for the creation of a Macedonian state from 1893 to 1912 (up until the First Balkan War and the partition of Macedonia), the struggle for an autonomous, independent and united Macedonian state in the period from 1912 to 1941, the creation and development of the modern Macedonian state in the period from 1941 to 1991, that is, until the foundation of the Republic of Macedonia as an independent and sovereign state. The book is also enriched with a hundred photographs of prominent people who contributed to the struggle to create a modern Macedonian state, and of the more significant events in that historical process of Macedonian statehood.
