Here’s a lovely French made Lovat in classic style, long shank and short saddle bit—a beautiful piece from Jean Lacroix. About 5” long, bowl is 1 3/4” tall, 1 5/16” wide. ID 3/4”, depth 1 1/2”. Marked on one side of shank NIZZA then diagonally the Jean Lacroix signature, other side BRUYERE/ EXTRA FINE, beneath shank 1034. JL intertwined is stamped on side of bit. No other marks detected.

Saddle Bit is well-seated push fit, 6mm filter, cleaned and polished, showing a hint of chatter. Stummel is rich walnut colored, cross grain and birdseye, some handling wear, clean rim, lightly caked bowl. Lovely little Lovat!
