Beautiful Antique and rare bronze medal gold-plated 24K of the painting of Rogier Van Der Weyden: The Pietá.
Rogier van der Weyden or Rogier de Bruxelles, whose real name is Rogier de la Pasture was one of the most notable and important Flemish Gothic painters. When he was proclaimed an official painter of the city of Brussels, he adopted the name Rogier van der Weyden, who was notoriously a Flemish name.
The medal has 5 cm (1.96 inches) diameter, 3 mm (0.11 inches) and weighs 47 grams.
Was made in 1984 by the sculptor A. Candido, with the refinement of the "Epreuve" finish on high-relief bronze magnificently covered in pure 24-carat gold.
Includes  protective plastic case visible in photos to maintain good condition.
