Soft and supple
INSTALL from the back of the lever with mild cooking oil, a tiny bit, So little that it will tack up. Take them off the bars because that front barrel adjuster sticking up is a stretch. You can get it over sometimes but you are risking tearing it, The hoods are flawless but to stretch it that far if youre trying to put it over the front ifs your risk.
Please look at the hoods when you get them, they are original gems, be very careful, we do not replace hoods that you tore. Its rare that it happens but, on the occasion that someone tears any hood, we always get an email thats passive agressive at best if not accusatory (we dont sell stuff thats risky, you just know how to put them on).
Last guy who bought OG campy hoods tore one, wrote us a orrible email, I asked how he put them on, he said the front, then he read the listing to lube and go through the back and at least he fell on his sword.
We will not be restcking any original hoods as its not worth the headache of someone blaming us for them damaging something rare and new, even though its very rare.
