The Congo Democratic Republic 1,000 Francs Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Congo in 2022. The obverse features two standing okapis and a Kanioka carved box with two seated human figures and two lizards on the lid. The reverse depicts a field of corn, an African gray parrot on a branch, and BCC and a map. The banknote contains a windowed security thread with demetalized RD Congo, an RDC and a map registration device, and a watermark that reveals an okapi head and an electrotype 1000. The note is 140 x 72 mm in size and is signed by Malangu Kabedi Mbuyi. The particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
