Clivia is an ornamental flower native to southern South Africa. The flowering period is as long as 30-50 days, mainly in winter and spring. It also blooms around New Year's Day and spring. It is a semi-negative plant that avoids strong light. It likes coolness and avoids high temperature. The optimum temperature for growth is 60-78°F, and the growth is stopped below 40°F. Likes rich, well-drained soil and moist soil avoids dry environment. Clivia has a high ornamental value.
