⭐️ Star Sapphire that we see as lobes on the surface of the gemstone
is actually caused by silk inclusions that are arranged neatly parallel in more
than one plane and intersect each other. When light strikes, a star-like sphere
(Asterism) 6 or 12 points on the surface is called Star Ruby.
The gemstone is usually cut in a cabochon, which is a rounded dome
at the top to clearly show the stars. This can also be seen in Sapphire, known
as the Star Sapphire.
As for the gemstones at Bang Kaja, Chanthaburi, where Star
sapphire is found, they can be arranged in order of rarity from least to
greatest as follows:
