Set of 4 Vintage Noritake Progression Cereal /Fruit Bowls in Century 9044 Pattern

 These set of four Vintage Tab Handled Cereal/Fruit Bowls are part of the Progression Tableware Range in Century 9044 Pattern by Noritake, Japan, C1970s.

The tab handled bowls come in earthy bone China white base, decorated in matte brown tone in Century 9044 pattern filled with floral and heart shapes in geometric fashion finished with a bond around the rim. Made between 1970 and 1981, it measures 15.5cm in diameter x 17cm widest range and 4cm in depth.

 The Noritake Progression tableware range, first produced in 1964, was a heat resistant product, suitable for use in both gas and electrics ovens and then for serving straight to table. It was marketed as 'Oven-to-table-to-dishwasher-to-freezer ware and came with a 2-year warranty for free replacement. The range proved to be so popular that a dedicated factory was established in Kyushu and the design was patented in 10 countries. The range was discontinued by Noritake in 1983.
