Benning in Columbus, Georgia, providing an anti-Vietnam War stance for soldiers, as well as offering coverage of left wing items and social movements. This issue with a report on the shooting of a young Black man in Columbus, Georgia by Columbus police. 17 year old Charles Duncan was shot in the back after unwittingly being in a stolen car and subsequent police chase. The article and short accompanying essay "What Power to the People Means," was submitted as a communique from the Ministry of Information of the Peoples Panther Party of Columbus, Georgia. The short essay was written by Chairman Kanyada of the Peoples Panther Party. It is unclear whether the Peoples Panther Party was an offshoot, or somehow associated with, the Black Panther Party, or if it drew inspiration from the Black Panthers. Other pieces look at the Vietnam War, potential solutions for piece, protests, etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Moderate toning. Volume number circled in ink on the upper front cover. Small ink note on the upper left front corner.
