In fair condition. Slip case has some age-related toning and wear that has caused some discoloration and tearing. Covers and spine beneath the slip case have minimal wear. Pages have age-related toning and foxing. Hinges have some wear, but pages remain attached and generally have good support. Illustrations have minimal toning and are otherwise clear to see. Edges of pages have wear that has caused some tearing, most likely due to the style of paper used. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. 

Theodore Dreiser was an American journalist and writer of the naturalist school. He is known for writing characters who succeed in their ambitions, despite not having a moral code to follow in doing so. This edition was limited to 1,100 copies, of which this volume is number 846. Volumes 401-1,100 were printed on hand made Keijyo Kami. This information is certified at the beginning of the volume with the signature of Dreiser below it.
