After World War 2, London needed a new design of bus for the future that awaited the capital. The RT - also known as the ‘Regent III’ was a majestic beast with rear platform entry, a welcoming frontage and a functional but comfortable interior. It was somehow more grand but less friendly than its successor - the ‘Routemaster’. The RT moquette was designed in 1946 and carries red, black, green and brown stripes in a tartan style. Highly durable, it hid the dirt and grime of London brilliantly for decades, it’s now available to gleam in pristine beauty in your home.

Perhaps the most rewarding projects are the ones you design and complete yourself. We sell moquette off the roll, by the linear metre, for your own upholstery and handicraft endeavours. Whether you fancy a set of 4 dining chairs in District, a footstool in Straub or even a car interior in bygone Bournemouth, we have rolls of moquette to choose from. Top tip: Moquette looks great when mounted and framed too. 125cm wide sold by the metre, delivered as a continuous length.
