General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. There are tears along the edges and the hinges. Hinges are worn and the support for the pages is not even throughout. Page seventeen to the end of the volume are entirely detached, as pictured. Some pencil inscriptions from a previous owner. Please see photos and ask any questions prior to purchasing.

The Battle of Aspern-Essling occurred when Napoleon crossed the Danube near Vienna. Under the direction of Archduke Charles forced the French army back across the river. This is an account of this battle very soon after it occurred. Any issues with hinges or binding due to age or wear could provide an excellent opportunity for restoration or rebinding, if desired.
