J, the bassist of the band, has been using various PrecisionBass for many years.

The "Black Gold" made by Greg Fessler, a master builder at Fender Custom Shop, which he has trusted on stage and on recordings since he got it, was released in 2020 in a limited edition of only 25 pieces with the exact same specifications as his own and became a big topic of conversation. The reverse head expresses J's musical philosophy, and the original color, Black Gold, was inspired by the vintage helmets of the 70's. J loves motorcycles, and this color looks different from different angles.

The one-piece maple neck, profiled from the Custom Shop, has a 7.25" radius, Narrow Tall frets, and a 42mm nut width, while retaining the grip of the 50's, for smooth playing even during long hours on stage. The sound is the same as that of the ash body and the fretboard.

In terms of sound, the combination of the ash body and the J Custom P Bass Pickup newly developed for this model produces a rich midrange that does not get buried when driven.

This is J's signature model with no compromises in looks, playability, or sound.
