Antique Sterling Silver Sauceboat - William IV

This exceptional antique William IV sterling silver sauce boat has a plain oval rounded form onto three scrolling feet.

The surface of this antique sauceboat is plain and unembellished.

The upper portion of the body features an undulating, shaped rim.

The sauceboat is fitted with a fine opposing scroll handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece.

This impressive example of William IV silverware is supported by three impressive applied scrolling hoof style feet with impressive swept scrolling decorated sockets in junction with the body.

Condition

This antique silver sauce boat is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition in keeping with age.

There are some surface blemishes, in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
