On 14 October 1943, a revolt broke out in the Sobibor extermination camp. 600 prisoners attempted to escape. Exhausted, they faced 150 armed guards. After a bloodbath, nearly 200 people fled the camp. 42 saw the end of the war.
"Sobibór" tells the story of the last weeks before the uprising and the rebellion itself. Aleksander Peczerski (Konstantin Chabieński) goes to the camp. It quickly becomes clear that the only way to avoid certain death is to escape from the camp. After a failed attempt by a group of inmates, the camp commander (Chistopher Lambert) decides that for every prisoner who tries to escape, one of the inmates will be killed. Pecherski leads a conspiracy to escape all prisoners. However, keeping the plan secret turns out to be harder than it seemed, and the attitude of the main character attracts more and more attention.
