On October 14, 1943, a revolt broke out in the death camp in Sobibór. 600 prisoners made an attempt to escape. Exhausted, they faced 150 armed guards. After the bloody fight, nearly 200 people escaped from the camp. 42 lived to see the end of the war.
Sobibór tells the story of the last weeks preceding the uprising and the story of the rebellion itself. Aleksander Peczerski (Konstantin Chabieński) is sent to the camp. It quickly becomes clear that the only way to avoid certain death is to flee the camp. After an unsuccessful attempt by a group of inmates, the camp commandant (Chistopher Lambert) makes a decision that for each prisoner who tries to escape, one of the inmates should be killed. Peczerski leads the conspiracy aimed at the escape of all prisoners. However, keeping the plan a secret turns out to be more difficult than it seems, and the attitude of the main character attracts more and more attention.
