A stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian 3.06 carat garnet and 0.13 carat diamond, 21 carat yellow gold necklace in the form of a snake; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections.
This stunning, fine and impressive snake necklace has been crafted in 21 ct yellow gold.
The exceptional example of Victorian jewellery has been crafted in the form of a snake's head and serpent-like body.
The snake's head is embellished with a textured design and interlacing scrolling leaf motifs.
The head is further ornamented with an impressive claw set heart shaped garnet to the crown, above two Old European cut diamonds, collet set to represent the snake's eyes.
A feature claw set cabochon cut garnet suspends from a ring loop to the snake's open mouth, set to the centre of a pear shaped design.
The body of the snake is represented by a graduated snake chain, by which means the necklace is worn around the neck.
The chain secures via a push fit clasp, discreetly positioned to the side of the snake's head.
This stunning Victorian gold snake necklace with garnets has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 21 ct gold.
The necklace is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card.
