The SSD form factor is 2.5", and it is 7mm in height. This means it is compatible with almost all Laptops and Desktops (For Desktops, you may require a caddy in order to install the 2.5" SSD in a 3.5" drive bay).
The SSD is prepared for UEFI boot. Windows11 works with UEFI, If your laptop is older (usually 2013 or before), please leave a note on the order (or send me a message) stating that you require LEGACY boot support.
If you are not sure whether the computer/laptop supports UEFI booting, you can let us know the model and make. By typing 'System Information' into the start menu and pressing enter, you can check what boot mode you are currently in (if your device has a working Windows installation). Its a pro version .
Activation:
You should be able to activate the new Windows installation if you have previously activated Windows on your device. You can use this drive to upgrade from Windows 7/8/8.1 to Windows 10/11. Your system will automatically use your existing Windows license key and activate the new installation of Windows. In rare cases, you may have to manually input the Windows license key for your device to activate Windows.
Activation keys are not included
If you are installing this SSD in a new computer that has never had an activated copy of Windows, you may require an activation key. Activation keys are not included.
