Description

This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a plain bell shaped form onto a baluster shaped pedestal and circular foot.

The surface of the antique silver goblet is plain and embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved monogram initials "CS" below the crest of an otter, holding in the mouth a fish.

The circular spreading foot is encircled with an applied border to the rim.

The interior of this Victorian silver goblet retains the original gilding.

This exceptional goblet was crafted by the renowned London silversmith Stephen Smith of S Smith & Son.

Condition

This antique Victorian silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the goblet are very clear; the maker"s mark has some wear in keeping with age and location, but remains legible.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Victorian silver.
