This exceptional antique George V sterling silver presentation trophy has a plain circular waisted form, realistically modelled in the form of a king chess piece.
The plain knopped body of this impressive presentation piece is plain and unembellished.
The upper portion of this sterling silver chess ornament is surmounted with the traditional cross motif finial*.
This impressive example of antique silverware is fitted to the original wood plinth, encircled with a vacant silver inscription band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.
* Within a set of chess pieces the cross finial is a notable feature to make the king instantly recognisable from the queen.
ConditionThis antique sterling silver chess ornament is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
