Dermol 500 lotion is an emollient which helps to soften and hydrate dry skin, especially when you’re suffering from conditions such as eczema or dermatitis. It helps to moisturise dry skin and prevent symptoms like itching and can be used in people of all ages as an emollient or as a substitute for irritating soaps.

How to use the product:

Dermol 500 Lotion can be used in one of two ways, either as an emollient or as a substitute for soap:

To use as an emollient, gently smooth this lotion onto the skin, covering all of the affected areas.

Do not rub in vigorously, give the lotion time to soak in if needed, reapply as needed.

To use as a soap substitute, use exactly as you would use your regular soap or shower gel.

After you’ve washed, pat the skin dry gently with a soft towel, do not rub the skin.

Ingredients:

Active Ingredients: Benzalkonium Chloride (0.1% w/w), Chlorhexidine dihydrochloride (0.1% w/w), Isopropyl Myristate (2.5% w/w), Liquid Paraffin (2.5% w/w).

The other ingredients are : cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol cetostearyl ether (cetomacrogol 1000), phenoxyethanol and purified water.

Side effects:

Like all medication, Dermol 500 lotion can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. These include:

- Signs of a serious allergic reaction, e.g. swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.

- Red itchy rash (hives) away from where you applied the product.

- Wheezing.

- Difficulty breathing.

- Feeling faint or dizzy.

- Metallic taste in the mouth.

- Collapse.

- Skin reactions, e.g. redness, irritation, itching.

If you experience these or any other side effects, stop use and seek medical assistance right away.

Hazards and cautions:

Do not use Dermol 500 lotion if you are allergic to benzalkonium chloride, chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristate, or any of the other listed ingredients.

For external use only, avoid contact with eyes, especially if you use this product on the face.

If you use this product as a soap substitute it can make your bath or shower very slippery, so be sure to take care to avoid slipping.

This product contains paraffin, which can increase the flammability of any cloth or fabric it comes into contact with, including dressings or clothing.

Take care to avoid fire or naked flames while using this product and change dressings or clothing frequently.

Store in a cool, dry place which is below 25 degrees C. Store in original packaging and does not use if the expiry date printed on the packaging has passed.

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Delivery

Once we have received your order, out duty pharmacist or a suitably trained member of the pharmacy team will contact you to ensure that the product is appropriate to use. Once we have spoken to you, your order will be shipped on the same day (if before 13:00) or the next day.

We dispatch orders using the Royal Mail service and various other couriers. Delivery in the UK typically takes 2-7 working days.

Orders are usually dispatched within 1 working day of being placed.

Our address labels are created automatically based on the address, which you enter, please ensure that this is correct.

The Royal Mail delivery service that we use classifies UK destination parcels, which take over 5 working days from the day of dispatch for delivery as "Delayed". At this time, please continue to wait for your order and it is likely that it will arrive shortly. After 15 working days from the day a UK destination parcel is dispatched, an order is considered by the Royal Mail as "Lost". In the unlikely event this occurs, please inform us and you will either receive a full refund or the option to have your goods dispatched to you again.

All of our products are shipped to you free of charge. Express next day delivery is available via courier at an additional charge.

Returns

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Gifts
