Antique Vintage  Hand Embroidered Handkerchiefs 2 for 1 price.
One is amazing with tiny stitches and hemstitching and embroidery. I believe it was made in the 1920s or 1930s. There are 2 rows of hemstitching along the edge. There are tiny flowers along the sides and each corner has 2 clusters of 10 flowers and 4 leaves with 3 more tiny leaves right in the center corner. It is a 10 1/2 inch square. The edge has been rolled and hand sewn. This is the work of a master.

The other handkerchief I believe was made in the 1950s or 1960s. It is also white linen and incredibly detailed and fine stitches. There is a white rose in each corner with scroll work on each side and behind the rose. It is a 12 inch square. The edge has been rolled and hand sewn. This is also the work of a master, just not as old.

I laundered and ironed them both. I don't believe either were ever used. These were stored in a cedar chest in a nice Clearwater Florida estate where I bought 50 linens and over a dozen tablecloths with embroidery. So she definitely was an avid collector who loved fine stitching and beautiful things.

These are harking back to a time when people loved the little things, the beautiful things that took a while to make but projected your love with the gift.
