MERCEDES BENZ EIS IGNITION SWITCH UNIT REPAIR SERVICE FOR ML & GL 350 450 500 2006 to 2009 (and some 2010, if they have silver screws on top) like pictured.   All x164 and w164 bodies

This is for the SERVICE of fixing YOUR misbehaving ignition switch. I struggled with this switch in my ml for a long time.  Did a bunch of research and found out how to fix mine, now im offering to fix yours.

Symptoms- key is sometimes incredibly hard to turn out of lock position, coupled with no or incomplete starting.  Intermittent - sometimes no problem, other times may have to turn the key 25 times to start the car

These are the symptoms this repair will correct, and these symptoms only.  No reprogramming needed.

Heres how i can do it for you:

Step one, remove your eis module from the dash. You see in the second picture you can get to it by removing the radio. Spin the surround of the key switch counter clockwise to unscrew and release the eis, reach in and grab it, unplug the 2 connectors. Look at the switch, does it have 2 silver screws on top?  If yes:

Step two, purchase the repair service

Step three, send me your eis (black box) only. NO need to send the key as well. 

Step four, give me 4 business days to complete the repair and ill send it back using the address listed with ebay.

Step five, reinstall the EIS and the problem above (and only the problem above) will be gone.
