For compresses, paws, poultice and washes (Method 1):
2 tbsp. pour 200 ml of water, boil for 10 minutes and then leave for another 20 minutes to soak, strain.
For compresses, paws, poultice and washes (Method 2):
10g dried roots are poured on with 250 ml. boiling water, boil 10 minutes, strain.
Infusion or Tea:
Preparation: 1 tablespoon finely chopped roots boil with 500 ml of water for 6 minutes, leave to soak for 1 hour and strain (dose for one day).
Internal use: In the form of infusion of 100 ml before meals 3 times a day.
Comfrey Root is a very powerfull herb and should be taken by mouth and internally only under medical supervision!
NOTE:
> Comfrey should not be used on infected or dirty wounds (especially puncture wounds), because it may heal the skin without eliminating the infection.
> Because of comfrey’s amazing cell proliferation effects, there are concerns that using comfrey topically over a broken bone that hasn’t been correctly set may heal the bone out of place.
