An original ink on scraperboard by the celebrated artist Joan Wanklyn (1924 - 1999) for page 37 of Frank H Hill's book, 'The Secret of the Pool' first published by Frederick Warne in 1950 as one of The Falcon Nature Stories (please note that the book is not included within the sale and the photo from the book is included for illustrative purposes only).
The ink is mounted and ready for framing. The illustration was created by covering a drawing board with ink and then scraping away the ink to reveal the white beneath (you should be able to see the scrape marks on the photos provided). The V & A in London have work by Joan Wanklyn in their collection.
I have a few other original inks by Joan Wanklyn that were published in this book that I will be listing separately.

Please study the photos carefully for condition.
The drawing is on artists board. No tears or folds.
The drawing measures approx. 14.5cm x 10.5cm.
The mount measures approx. 23cm x 17.5cm.
Postage:
Rest assured the artwork will be well packed.
Photos of the artwork being packed will be sent to the purchaser.
Postage will be cheaper to Europe (please contact me for a precise cost).
